Significant Advances in the Treatment of Corona Virus

Significant advances in the treatment of corona virus

Cholesterol-lowering drugs Statins can help reduce the rate of
mortality and medical ventilation by helping treat novice coronavirus.
This was revealed in a new medical study.

The drug is commonly used to lower cholesterol levels while
preventing lung cancer from progressing in animals, improving the
immune response and reducing inflammation, all three of which are
common in patients with COVID-19.

The study, published in the medical journal Cell Metabolism by
Chinese experts, examined the use of statins in about 14,000 patients.

The researchers found that people who used the drug had a 45%
reduction in mortality.

Researchers also found that using statins with blood pressure-lowering
drugs did not increase the risk of death.

Experts involved in the Wuhan University study said the results
showed that the drug was safe and beneficial for patients undergoing
treatment at a hospital in COVID-19.

Although research has not shown a definitive reduction in mortality,
it does provide an anticipation of a possible cure.

The researchers said that although the data showed evidence that the
drug was safe, its effectiveness should be tested in more trials with
reference to COVID-19.

There is no vaccine or treatment for coronavirus yet, but trials of
statins and remedies have so far been positive.

Earlier this week, a study in the United States found that glucosamine
or metformin, a drug available to diabetics, also helped prevent the
worst effects of the corona virus.

A pre-printed study from the University of Minnesota (a study not
published in a medical journal) found that the drug, which is readily
available everywhere, could help prevent the effects of the corona
virus.

This is one of the few major observational studies on the risk factors
for corona virus, which found that obesity and diabetes are the two
leading causes of death from COVID-19.

But at the same time, it was discovered that the risk of dying from
corona virus with glucofage can be reduced by 21 to 24% in patients
who are already using the drug to control their diabetes and blood
sugar levels.

The researchers said that people should not consider this drug as a
cure for the virus, but the results could open new avenues for
controlling infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

He said the drug could potentially be helpful for patients with
COVID-19 because it reduces the body's immune response while
reducing inflammation.

In some cases of the coronavirus, a highly active immune system can
cause death.

The new study looked at more than 6,000 people who had diabetes or
obesity and were hospitalized as a result of COVID-19.

The researchers found that the number of deaths from the epidemic
was reduced in women who were prescribed diabetes medication.

Taking into account other risk factors, it has been estimated that the
use of this drug can reduce the risk of death from COVID-19 by 21 to
24 percent, but this relationship has not been observed in men.

"We already know that this drug affects men and women in different
ways. In a study to prevent diabetes, we discovered that it can cause
CRP (inflammation) The level of a protein is twice as low in women
as in men.

The drug also lowers the level of the TNF alpha, a protein that causes
inflammation in patients with COVID-19, which makes the condition
worse, especially in women who have lower levels than men.
